We are a one building school district providing educational opportunities for Kindergarten - 8th Grade. We have a rich history of people, tradition, and excellence. The school district is consolidated from the Walnut Hill, Woodlawn, White Oak, Black Oak, King, Organ, and Silver Glen one-room schools. We are located at 2030 County Road 1020N in rural Fairfield, Illinois.
Jasper School is the home of the Polecats. The legend is that a mother skunk and her babies were discovered under the original building during construction. A former student, Earline Obrecht - whose father served on the board during the 50's, says that they were given the choice of either the Polecats or the Oilers, given the large number of oil wells in the district at that time.
